Music Ministries

The St. Louise Choir meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. for rehearsal, from September 8th through Pentecost.  We sing at the 11:00 a.m. Mass, as well as on some holy days and special parish celebrations.  We welcome and encourage singers of all musical skill levels, from first-time beginners to skilled professionals to join us for a fun, musically enriching, and spiritually rewarding experience.  We are preparing lots of music from a range of styles for this year's choir, and we are also planning on having a few social events along the way.  Instrumentalists are also welcome and encouraged to join us. If you are considering being a part of our choir in September, or if you have questions, please contact Music Director Jim Harrold.

Cantors support and lead the congregational singing at Masses.

The Resurrection Choir meets on an as-needed basis, and provides the music for parish funerals.

If interested in joining the adult choir or becoming a Cantor, please contact Jim Harrold at 201-755-7716 or email him at paulushookpiano@yahoo.com.

Children's Choir is open to children in fourth to eighth grade. Rehearsals are from 2:50 to 3:50 for school liturgies and from 3:30 to 4:45 for parish liturgies.  The choir sings at one 8:30 school Mass and one 9:30 Sunday Mass each month during the school year.  Those sixth graders and older who have been in the choir for at least one year can serve as youth cantors.

Teen Choir sings at the 9:30 a.m. Mass about 12 times a year.  Rehearsals begin at 8:00 a.m.  The Choir is open to high school and college students.  Eighth graders in the Children's Choir may also be a part of the Teen Choir.

The combined youth choirs sing several times each year, including Thanksgiving, the Christmas Eve Family Mass, and Good Friday Solemn Stations.

To join one of the youth choirs, contact Karyn Miller at 482-0656, or by email at kmillerslm@yahoo.com.
